Usog

Tifa’s not feeling well for the past few days, but I’m just wondering why her temperature usually goes up at night. But she doesn’t seem like she got a fever, she would always play like she’s really well. And she’s waking up at 3am to play with the curtain. Strange, isn’t? Not the usual thing that she do.
Then I decided to take her to the doctor the following day, but my mother told me to bring her first to “albularyo”. Maybe she have this “usog/bati”, I don’t know how to explain this in English.
There’s nothing wrong in believing with the albularyo sometimes, so I surrender to my mother’s suggestion.
Then I brought Tifa in an albularyo, Mang Agring. According to him Tifa really have this “usog” by a woman. He put a white paper on Tifa’s forehead, and gave me another paper and told me to burn it and put a little ash on Tifa’s forehead. When we got home, I did what Mang Agring’s instruction. I hope this one will work.

This afternoon, I was in one of the banks here in Tagaytay. As I came inside, a long line of clients welcome me. So this means that I really have to wait a long time for my turn. It was our lunch break that’s why I got a chance to flee from work. But that’s only 1 hour break and seeing the line in front of me makes me want to faint so they can attend on me first.
I observed every transaction with the tellers, and as I have observed they’re taking 10-15 minutes per client and there were only 3 tellers. Then, I count the people in front of me from the start of the line. There are 6 before my turn. I became hopeless; I don’t think I can make it until 1:30. I still have to eat my lunch. Oh men!!! I’m not going to eat lunch again?!?! This can’t be!!!
Then suddenly, there’s a lady who come in and went straight to the manager’s table. I was stunned. It’s like I’m looking at the mirror. I asked myself is it my reflection walking? And the voice inside me answered: “HALLER?!?! DREAM ON GURL!!! DUH!!!!” Oh yes, I am dreaming. I know. I was just having this illusion that someday I can have her face. Hahahah! I am bitter.
Who’s this girl? It’s no other than Ms. Kristine Hermosa. I am not her big fan, but I do like the way she act on her movies and telenovelas. I even watched them. I loved her movie with Aga Muhlach and I envy her, I wish I’m the leading lady in that movie. Haaayyyy! Bitterness talaga.
But this afternoon, I want to thank her because of her I finished my transaction with the bank early; I became the first in line. People inside the bank suddenly drool over her and asking for a picture with her, but I’m not one of them. I’d rather finish my business in the bank and eat lunch instead of being a fanatic. So, I grabbed the opportunity. As soon as the people in front of me went to take a picture with her, I went straight to the teller. And, voilá, transaction done! I love her now. Thank you Ms. Kristine. You saved me from a possible hunger.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Finally, Payperpost approved my application with them. Thanks for the approval. I really wanted to be a part of this Payperpost community, because you’re not just here to write but you also get paid. Isn’t good?! These days, it’s really hard to earn money with the kind of economy that we have now and with this as an extra income it will help a lot with other expenses. Big time! (Maybe this time I can buy a my dream DSLR .Hehehe!)
I’ve learned about this last year while reading a post from another blogger, I forgot the site but it really inspires me to have my own blog. Then I ask my husband if he can make one for me since I’ve learned that Payperpost helped many bloggers earn extra income by doing this blog marketing. And you will also get a chance to meet other people and learn from them. Haaaay! With this new break that PPP has given, I’m sure I’m going to be busy as bee writing. And I can’t wait for another opportunity to come. I’m excited!
You too can be a part of this. Register now and you’ll get to meet other bloggers but be sure that you have your own blog. :p It’s easy as A, B, C’s, believe me. J
Back-to-School, Back-to-Work

I’m back to school but not as a student but as a teacher. It’s good to be back teaching Koreans again and seeing familiar faces of those who were once my students. I’m beginning to be fond of teaching now, because I also learn from my students and I do really love kids. I feel proud seeing them that they’re now good in communicating in English, unlike before that some of them don’t know a single English word.
I’ll be busy but that won’t stop me from blogging.
Born Diva

It was when I got back here in Philippines that I noticed how Tifa loves to sing. Before, she just dances whenever she will hear a lively music. Now, she even imitates what the singers in the television will do. She loves our magic sing, that’s why I bought a toy microphone for her. I wonder where did she get this fondness for singing, is it from hubby dear?
Here are some photos of our born diva:
- Kahit sa bahay lang... :)

Pager, anyone?!
May 30, 2008 · Print This Article
Remember the time when the beeper/pager were the “IN” thing? That time, I envy those who have but I never had one since my mother won’t allow me to buy one. She said it’s just a waste of money. So, I just shrugged my shoulders and said, “sabagay, hindi naman ganon kaganda yun.” Bitter na bitter di ba?!
And now I never expected that I would have one when the IN thing now are 3G phones.
My phone turns into a beeper/pager.
I don’t have the latest camphone. I only have these Nokia model 3 yrs old phone and I think my phone wants to retire since I am now experiencing problems with it. Last night, I can’t use my phone’s keypad sometimes it turns off automatically. I can’t use it for texting but I can receive messages. I can open and read it, but I can’t reply since the part of the keypad with letters can’t be used.Haaaayyyy! Ngayon pa sha nagloloko. Hubby told me to buy a new one, but I don’t want. Tifa will just throw it, sayang lang baka masira ulit. I’ll think about it again if I’m going to buy a new one. Now I’m still using it, my cellphone/beeper/pager/alarm clock.
Big Thanks!

When I had this blog, I really don’t know how to set things here. All I know is writing, posting and updating the blog roll, so hubby’s the one doing all the design. Last night, he spend it by reconstructing my site. Big thanks to hubby. If not for him I will never have a site like this. I love the header, I love the color, I love the template. I love it!
Isa na lang kulang. Yung ma approve ako. huhuhu!
Hard to find formula milk
May 23, 2008 · Print This Article
Since I got back here in Philippines, I was having a hard time finding a formula milk for our daughter. Her Pedia changed her milk since she’s already 1 year old. From Hi-nulac Excel to Enfagrow A+. Actually, it’s not that hard to find in the market, but I want it with Choline, DHA, ARA and SA. Most of the store and even big supermarket that I’ve been doesn’t have this on the milk. I found one store nearby and they only have those in the box which is only 400g. And with that, it’s only good for a few days for our daughter. What I want is a big can because it’s cheaper and I am worried because they only got a few box left. Why I want it with Choline, DHA, ARA and SA? Because it helps with the brain development and Tifa wants it.

I hope Mead Johnson will soon release in the market those with DHA and ARA products. ![]()
On musicals
May 20, 2008 · Print This Article
When I was in Hopia Wonderland, my husband would always watch Evita everyday when he gets back from work. He watched it for the nth time and never gets tired watching it. I always ask him why he wants Evita the movie, he just answer me that he like history and he likes musical shows. Until now it’s like I can still hear Antonio Banderas and Madonna singing their part on the movie. LSS eh? Here’s one of Kotsengkuba’s favorite part of the movie:
For a long period of time, I’ve always wanted to watch the Sound of Music, and who would have thought that I can watch the movie again in Hopia Wonderland without being dubbed in Mandarin.
One of my favorite, I can’t help but reminisce my elementary days when I was still a part of a choir. We had this mini-concert and we sang all the songs from The Sound of Music. Then there’s The Phantom of the Opera, I remember when I was still pregnant I would also watch it everyday and after that, at night I would still listen to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music. I also love the Moulin Rouge. Why do I like musical shows? Because I am a frustrated stage play actress. hehehe!
And here’s my favorite part of the movie:
And now with our daughter, I can see that she also love musical show. Hereditary? I’m afraid that when she gets a little older and have her choice of her favorite movie we might need to have two televisions set. One set for Kotsengkuba and the other one for Tifa.
