Born Diva
May 31, 2008
It was when I got back here in Philippines that I noticed how Tifa loves to sing. Before, she just dances whenever she will hear a lively music. Now, she even imitates what the singers in the television will do. She loves our magic sing, that’s why I bought a toy microphone for her. I wonder where did she get this fondness for singing, is it from hubby dear?
Here are some photos of our born diva:

Pager, anyone?!
May 30, 2008
Remember the time when the beeper/pager were the “IN” thing? That time, I envy those who have but I never had one since my mother won’t allow me to buy one. She said it’s just a waste of money. So, I just shrugged my shoulders and said, “sabagay, hindi naman ganon kaganda yun.” Bitter na bitter di ba?!
And now I never expected that I would have one when the IN thing now are 3G phones.
My phone turns into a beeper/pager.
I don’t have the latest camphone. I only have these Nokia model 3 yrs old phone and I think my phone wants to retire since I am now experiencing problems with it. Last night, I can’t use my phone’s keypad sometimes it turns off automatically. I can’t use it for texting but I can receive messages. I can open and read it, but I can’t reply since the part of the keypad with letters can’t be used.Haaaayyyy! Ngayon pa sha nagloloko. Hubby told me to buy a new one, but I don’t want. Tifa will just throw it, sayang lang baka masira ulit. I’ll think about it again if I’m going to buy a new one. Now I’m still using it, my cellphone/beeper/pager/alarm clock.
Big Thanks!

When I had this blog, I really don’t know how to set things here. All I know is writing, posting and updating the blog roll, so hubby’s the one doing all the design. Last night, he spend it by reconstructing my site. Big thanks to hubby. If not for him I will never have a site like this. I love the header, I love the color, I love the template. I love it!
Isa na lang kulang. Yung ma approve ako. huhuhu!
Hard to find formula milk
May 23, 2008
Since I got back here in Philippines, I was having a hard time finding a formula milk for our daughter. Her Pedia changed her milk since she’s already 1 year old. From Hi-nulac Excel to Enfagrow A+. Actually, it’s not that hard to find in the market, but I want it with Choline, DHA, ARA and SA. Most of the store and even big supermarket that I’ve been doesn’t have this on the milk. I found one store nearby and they only have those in the box which is only 400g. And with that, it’s only good for a few days for our daughter. What I want is a big can because it’s cheaper and I am worried because they only got a few box left. Why I want it with Choline, DHA, ARA and SA? Because it helps with the brain development and Tifa wants it.

I hope Mead Johnson will soon release in the market those with DHA and ARA products. ![]()
On musicals
May 20, 2008
When I was in Hopia Wonderland, my husband would always watch Evita everyday when he gets back from work. He watched it for the nth time and never gets tired watching it. I always ask him why he wants Evita the movie, he just answer me that he like history and he likes musical shows. Until now it’s like I can still hear Antonio Banderas and Madonna singing their part on the movie. LSS eh? Here’s one of Kotsengkuba’s favorite part of the movie:
For a long period of time, I’ve always wanted to watch the Sound of Music, and who would have thought that I can watch the movie again in Hopia Wonderland without being dubbed in Mandarin.
One of my favorite, I can’t help but reminisce my elementary days when I was still a part of a choir. We had this mini-concert and we sang all the songs from The Sound of Music. Then there’s The Phantom of the Opera, I remember when I was still pregnant I would also watch it everyday and after that, at night I would still listen to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music. I also love the Moulin Rouge. Why do I like musical shows? Because I am a frustrated stage play actress. hehehe!
And here’s my favorite part of the movie:
And now with our daughter, I can see that she also love musical show. Hereditary? I’m afraid that when she gets a little older and have her choice of her favorite movie we might need to have two televisions set. One set for Kotsengkuba and the other one for Tifa.

Shanghai Oceanarium Experience
May 19, 2008
I’ve never been in Manila Ocean Park, that’s why i’m very thankful to my husband when he took me Shanghai Oceanarium. It’s quite expensive for 120 RMB per person. We saw different kinds of marine animals that I only saw in books before. The main focus of the Oceanarium are the different creatures that can be found in Yangtze River. According to Wikipedia:
The Yangtze River or Chang Jiang (simplified Chinese: ??; traditional Chinese: ??; pinyin: Cháng Ji?ng) is the longest river in Asia and the third longest in the world, after the Nile in Africa, and the Amazon in South America. The river is about 6,300 km long and flows from its source in Qinghai Province, eastwards into the East China Sea at Shanghai. It has traditionally been considered a dividing line between North and South China, although geographers consider the Qinling-Huai River line to be the official line of geographical division. As the largest river in the region, the Yangtze is historically, culturally, and economically important to China.
Can you imagine how many species we can find in the river? I wish Tifa were with us, so that she can also see those different species but I doubt that she can appreciate them because she’s only 15 months old.
And I don’t think she can take the crowd because it’s holiday when we went there. I remember the Filipino family that we saw inside. Maybe the youngest child in the family were really tired and exhausted because of the cowd. He ddoesn’t want to take the picture anymore and his mother got pissed on the way he acted. He’s mother told him “UMUWI KA NA NGA!” When my husband and I heard it, we were really laughing. Maybe if only they’re in Manila Ocean Park the boy will really go home. But they’re in Shanghai and that is miles away from Philippines. The poor boy just cried, you can’t blame him because it’s really crowded inside. Just seeing the crowd makes me feel tired. The whole place were really nice, but I can appreciate it more if there were fewer people. My favorite of all are the Penguins. When I saw them I ffelt like crying. It’s my first time to see a penguin. Jologs ko no?!
On suitcase and abusive taxi drivers
May 17, 2008
I was reading the other night a post from Chuvaness about the taxi driver who charged her more than what she expected. I never thought that it will happen on me too. This morning around 5a.m. I arrived in NAIA from the Hopia Wonderland. I told my mother not to fetch me at the airport. Hassle naman for her kase manggagaling pa sha from Tagaytay. So I asked my two sisteraka if they can fetch me and I will just leave my things at their place na lang in Manila since I will go back there tomorrow with Tifa.
So, I arrived na nga and we went outside the airport to look for a cab dahil nga dollar rate sa loob ng airport. Sira-siraan daw ang metro nya so he just gave us this laminated paper for the rate from NAIA to Quirino near Taft Ave. nawala ang antok naming tatlo dahil tumataginting na $20!!! Right then and there I told him to stop the car and we will get off. And I told him NO DEAL! I already reported him sa LTFRB. We have no choice but to wait fo another cab. So, mega para na naman si atashi.
Then, may nakuha na kaming cab and I told manong driver 2 na i-metro nya.
The taxi driver charged us P90.00 from NAIA to Quirino. Pero parinig pa din ng parinig. Naman! Kainis!
An open letter for my Mom
May 10, 2008
Mommy Dear,
I don’t know how to start this letter, because I have so many things in my heart that I need to say to you. Have I told you how grateful I am to have a mother like you? I know I haven’t. I don’t know how to say it, that’s why I’m just showing it through actions and I hope you get it.
Ma, I just want to say I’m very sorry for the times that I didn’t stood up on you. Sorry if sometimes I am so mean. Sorry, if sometimes or should I say most of the time I’m not following the things that you’re saying on me. I know how hard it is to raise up 3 girls without Daddy around since he’s working abroad. I know it’s a huge responsibility for you. But i want you to know that you did a great job eventhough sometimes it seems that you’re raising up 3 boys.
Thank you for taking care of us, for your understanding, for always believing in us and supporting us all the way.
Thank you mom for not giving up on us. Remember the time when a big crisis hit our family? I almost loose my hope that time. I know how hurt you are then, but still you stood up for us. You never let other people ruin us, and the only thing that you told me is that maybe it really do happen in every family. You just stay strong and calm, despite all the hurt that you keep in your heart. I admire you for that.
Thank you for taking care of me when the time I just gave birth. I appreciate you more since I became a mother myself. I wish I could also do the things that you’ve done on me to my daughter. When Lola Terry left us, I know how hard it is for you since you’re an only child. Don’t worry Ma, we will take care of you as long as we live. We will never leave you. Nobody can hurt you. I know thank you isn’t enough for all the sacrifices that you’ve done and will still do for us. I LOVE YOU MOMMY DEAR. Keep on rocking!
Love,
Hersy

Hopia Wonderland 2.0
May 8, 2008
I’m back! I’m back in the blogosphere with my new theme (big thanks to hubby for upgrading my site and changing my theme) and I’m back here in Hopia Wonderland. Actually, I’m here for more than two weeks now. Sorry if I posted this one too late, I’m enjoying time with hubby.
We’ve been to different places, you can look at our pictures at Kotsengkuba’s site. He already posted some and I’m still studying the gallery part of this site. According to hubby dear it’s better than before and I’m still exploring it since I can only use his notebook at night when he gets back home from work. So what am I doing with my daily existence here if there’s no pc and internet? I do household chores and after that I watch CCTV9, the only english channel here, I read books and magazines that I brought with me. Sometimes I take walk outside, go to the parks or buy something from the convenient stores around the village, but I don’t talk with them. I just smile. hehehe! It will be a major head boom boom if I will try.heheheh!
I got a message from MsPinkBiik telling me that she tagged me. Sorry girl, I can’t do that here since the great firewall of China blocked many sites. I can only open my emails and friendster account. Waaahhhh!!! Napakalupit nila!! :(( As soon as I get back in Philippines I will do it. Promise!
